The everyday experience I emphasized is the relationship between the outer reality and the artwork. And I also like to make the subject and phenomenon more abstract, more formalist and closer to its nature. Hence the electronic signboard became a link between pictorial and three-dimensional reality. The entity of the symbol and electronic texture shining through the night, it was eye-catching but simultaneously vaguely revealed the localized industrial feel between the border of SanChong and HsinChuang. Whenever I go home or leave home and pass by ChonghSin Bridge, the narrative of time created a different visual experience during the day and during the night.
I kept some of the constructed elements of advertisement and dissected them. I attempted to project the time and duration of the glowing and diming of the signboard onto a three-dimensional space. It was to create the different measuring standard between three-dimensional and two-dimensional space. It was also an exploration on the transformation of information into experiential process.
